Immune System

21 July 2020

Our immune system is essential for our survival. Without it our bodies would be open to attack from bacteria, viruses, parasites and more. It keeps us healthy as we drift through a sea of pathogens. Especially during these extraordinary times, our immune system needs to be functioning optimally. With businesses reopening worldwide after months of lock down, it means added exposure to illness. The best defense here is a good offense, which means a strong immune system. The more we strengthen our immune system and support our bodies, the better our chances of fighting off any illness that attempts to attack our bodies.

Most of us are aware of the various natural ways to boost our immune system like eating well, getting exercise, good quality sleep, and vitamin and mineral supplements. Many are not aware of what homeopathy has to offer.

Homeopathy is a system of medicine that works by using a small dose of a substance to help stimulate the body’s natural healing process and restore balance. It is an effective, safe, gentle and holistic treatment. Homeopathy has a subtle but powerful ability to deal with easily spread infections. Although in most cases, we administer the remedy after the symptoms of an illness appear, homeopathic remedies can also be used as a preventative. Homeopathy can be very beneficial in strengthening and modulating the immune system.

Another unfortunate way to build a good immune system is by occasional illness. It is how we deal with the sickness that determines how our body will react to future illness. When symptoms are masked with drugs, and the body is not allowed to find its own way back to health, we generally find that the sickness returns. On the other hand, good nutrition and carefully selected homeopathic remedies help the body emerge from the illness stronger and less likely to experience the same illness again. If the illness does return, it will most likely be in a weaker form.

Homeopathy gained its greatest popularity in Europe and America during the mid- and late-1800s, primarily due to the significant successes it achieved in treating people suffering from the often fatal infectious disease epidemics that raged during that time. Cholera, typhoid, yellow fever, and scarlet fever were but some of the infectious diseases that homeopathic medicines were exceptionally effective in treating.

Because homeopathic remedies are extremely targeted, choosing the right one comes down to which remedy most closely matches the specific set of symptoms. The most effective healing comes from those selected on an individual basis. For the best results I would reccomend consulting with an experienced, qualified homeopath who can treat constitutionally (holistic), which will be the best to help strengthen and modulate your  immune system.
